GDG welcomes new APAC Director, Scott Anderson

Specialist engineering consultants, Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG), has announced the appointment of Scott Anderson as Asia-Pacific (APAC) Director. Scott will be responsible for growing GDG’s offshore wind operations in the thriving APAC market, which has forecasted spends of $199 billion on offshore wind engineering, procurement, construction and installation up to 2026.

Scott brings a wealth of global engineering and business experience to his new role. He started his career as a project engineer working on the installation of floating and subsea infrastructures for the oil and gas industry. In recent years, Scott has been involved in business acquisition, restructuring and turnaround activities where he played a key role in the management and coordination of the operational aspects of his target businesses.

“I’m delighted to take up this exciting opportunity at a time of unprecedented growth in both GDG and the offshore wind industry. The world-leading technical expertise and practical experience within GDG will be invaluable to clients working at the forefront of a new industry and ensures we are well positioned for significant success.”

Scott Anderson, newly appointed APAC Director at GDG

“It’s great to have Scott on board to lead GDG’s expansion within the APAC region. His experience in redefining strategic operations to achieve sustainable growth will help us to realise our ambitious vision. The APAC region is at the beginning of its offshore wind journey and Scott, along with the wider GDG team, are best positioned to support clients, particularly in the emerging area of floating offshore wind, which is anticipated to play a significant role in the region towards the end of the decade. I look forward to seeing Scott progress in his new role as he supports his team to thrive.”

Dr Indrasenan Thusyanthan, Managing Director of GDG

This appointment comes during a period of sustained growth for GDG, which joined the Venterra Group in 2021, and has been made as part of the organisation’s strategy to meet client needs in the increasingly critical offshore wind market.
