The Emerald Project is located off the south coast of Ireland and will utilise Floating Offshore Wind technology to construct a wind farm which, upon completion, will have a total capacity of up to 1.3 GW.
GDG was appointed by Simply Blue Energy (SBE) to provide development support services with respect to their Emerald project, a floating wind farm in the Celtic Sea.
The Scope of Work
GDG was commissioned to provide technical and consenting support for the project. Our services included the foreshore licence process, metocean assessment, landfall suitability assessment study and geophysical processing of INFOMAR data on the array area.
