GDG Launch Graduate Training Programme

Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) is proud to launch an initiative designed to support and develop both emerging talent and the engineering sector in general. Committed to supporting projects that contribute to the global sustainability agenda, we are very conscious that the successes of the future will be developed by the graduates of today.

GDG is acutely aware of the importance of training and on the job learning. We are an Engineers Ireland accredited CPD employer and enrolled on the Initial Professional Development scheme with the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE).

GDG is therefore delighted to announce that our first graduate training programme has now begun. The new development programme starts at graduate level, and we are extremely pleased to be able to roll out this structured graduate scheme. It will provide all candidates with the opportunity to experience six months in each of our separate  divisions, from onshore renewables, to geoenvironmental and offshore design and survey management. This year’s successful graduates are Daniel Murphy, Luke O’Connell and Kelly Griffin.

Offering the next generation such opportunities will enable them to experience a variety of disciplines and develop an understanding of areas particularly suited to them. This will clearly benefit them, GDG and the sector in general, as the graduates can make informed choices about the optimum specialisms for them in the future.
