Venterra expands APAC Footprint

Venterra Group Plc, the offshore wind services specialist, has recently expanded its Asia-Pacific footprint establishing entities across Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and Australia. This growth in regional infrastructure comes about as the group experiences a record year in 2023 for APAC activity, with major contracts won by a number of its member companies. Significant orders have been secured in both the early stage development and build phases for leading offshore wind farm projects set to help meet the region’s urgent demand for clean energy.

The increase in office locations is also buoyed by some strategic regional hires, the most recent of which is Taiwan Country Manager, Valerie Chang, who joins the business with several years of experience in the Taiwanese offshore wind market, having previously held strategic roles with a number of offshore wind developers.

Headquartered in London, Venterra was formed to create a global services champion supporting the offshore wind industry’s rapid expansion and leading role in the energy transition. It is building a global service offering comprising services through the Engineer, Build and Support phases of the offshore wind farm lifecycle. This is being achieved through a combination of acquisition and investment, assembling urgently needed capabilities to help the offshore wind industry meet its ambitious worldwide potential.

"As developers push towards demanding targets Venterra brings global expertise and experience to the table. Coupled with our local knowledge and growing experience in the region we bring urgently needed capabilities to early stage planning and development, and later, the installation skills needed to turn plans into reality. Across APAC, Europe and North America we see a global struggle for resources in offshore wind and our relentless focus on efficient and effective delivery is paying off for clients."

Paul Doherty, Venterra’s Executive Vice President for Engineering

"In the last twelve months we have established a physical presence in our four leading markets; Taiwan, South Korea, Japan and Australia. We can draw on a global workforce of over 550 people as we focus on the challenges and immense opportunities across the APAC region."

Scott Anderson, Venterra’s Vice President for APAC
