Eoghan Summers wins Best Poster Award

Eoghan Summers, Research Engineer at GDG, won the Best Poster Award at the INORE – International Network on Offshore Renewable Energy Symposium in Portugal.

Eoghan’s winning poster delved into the integration of offshore wind power with green hydrogen production. His research focuses on exploring the technical and economic impacts of intermittent wind resources on offshore wind to hydrogen systems.

The ongoing work aims to quantify the impact of intermittency on crucial elements like the electrolyser plant and hydrogen pipeline. Ultimately, the goal is to optimise system planning to effectively mitigate these impacts, paving the way for more efficient and resilient offshore wind to hydrogen solutions.
