GDG will chair Theme 7 of the Wind Energy Science Conference (WESC) 2019
GDG's Managing Director, Paul Doherty, is among the chairs of the Wind Energy Science Conference (WESC) 2019. Paul will participate in Theme 7, which is focused on Offshore Wind Energy.
The WESC will be hosted by University College Cork on behalf of the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE) in June 2019. This conference will offer a multi-disciplinary open forum for discussion for all scientists and engineers working in the field of wind energy. WESC 2019 will include a vibrant social program which will give delegates the opportunity to experience the best that Ireland has to offer.
WESC 2019 is comprised of 7 Themes which cover the main scientific topics in wind energy science and an 8th Theme which is left open for more cross cutting sessions. Each Theme will have its own dedicated lecture theatre for the duration of WESC 2019 and will host between 11 and 20 sessions.
Abstracts and proposals for Mini-Symposia are invited in the following Themes: Wind Resource, Turbulence and Wakes (Theme 1); Turbine Technology and Aerodynamics (Theme 2); Wind to Wire Power Systems (Theme 3); Social, Economic and Policy (Theme 4); Turbine Lifecycle Considerations (Theme 5); Structures, Safey and Reliability (Theme 6); Offshore Wind Energy (Theme 7), and Special Sessions (Theme 8).
