GDG are leading an EU-funded project to evaluate the potential deep geothermal resources in two European urban areas. The GEO-URBAN project team met earlier this week in Dublin City Hall to discuss the preliminary results of the multi-disciplinary geophysical surveys that are ongoing in Dublin city and Vallès, Catalonia, Spain. The aim of the project is to improve the understanding of subsurface geological structures and establish a commercial roadmap for the use of geothermal energy as a renewable energy source for homes and businesses in these urban areas.
