Our growing Metocean Team at GDG supports clients with a range of specialist services including detailed metocean analysis, weather window analysis, seabed mobility studies, and scour assessment and protection for offshore wind farms. We are a team of engineers, mostly Mater’s or PhD qualified, that support clients on a broad range of specialist topics for offshore wind with innovative solutions. To grow our in-house expertise, we are looking for a hands-on experienced wind energy engineer who specialises in wind resource assessments and wind farm yield assessments in the offshore sector. The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate effectively with fellow team members and support our project delivery works by providing high quality technical input.
Role Description:
As a Senior Offshore Wind Energy Engineer, you will be working closely with a passionate and ambitious team of design and metocean engineers to deliver innovative and optimized solutions. You will be responsible for carrying out various scopes of work including energy yield assessments, layout optimisation, intra and inter array wake modelling and AEP calculations. We are looking for engineers with at least 10 years’ experience in the offshore wind sector. It is expected that you will work as a valued member of the Metocean Team and that you will support and mentor the career development of junior engineers.

Education/Qualifications:
- Hold a Masters of PhD University Degree in Renewable Energy Engineering or related discipline
- 5 + years relevant post-graduate experience
