Our Design Team:
Venterra’s Design team incorporates the design and analysis of foundations and substations for Floating and fixed Offshore Wind, Monopiles and Jackets, T&I, Onshore and Offshore substation design and Onshore Renewables.
The selected candidate will be employed through Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) and will work from our Cork office.
Role Description:
As a senior engineer, you will be working closely with a talented team of engineers and scientists to help us deliver innovative and sustainable solutions. You will work on a variety of our onshore projects across the infrastructure, energy and renewables sectors.
Key responsibilities:
- Client and project management
- Mentoring and supervision of junior engineers
- Checking and reviewing design drawings, specifications and bills of quantities and tender assessments
- Geotechnical, civil and structural design of renewable and infrastructure projects
- Site Supervision of ground investigations
- Site inspections and supervision of civil engineering projects
- Technical Report Writing
- Preparation of H&S documentation
- Tendering
Expertise required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in design to Eurocode standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Some experience in 3D design and modelling software (e.g. AutoCAD, Midas, Infodrainage, Revit) is desirable
- A full clean driver’s licence.
Education/Qualifications:
- Honours or higher degree in civil engineering.
Additional requirements:
Candidates should be Chartered or working towards chartership level in their field.
Candidates should also be highly organised and motivated individuals with effective communication skills, a good work ethic, and a commitment to technical excellence, personal efficiency, and career progression.
Candidates should be willing to travel to and work on remote sites away from the office location.
