You would join at an exciting time as the business experiences a period of rapid growth. This role would suit someone who enjoys having ownership over their day-to-day responsibilities and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity to utilise your accounting skills, business acumen and your communication skills within the business. This position will report directly to the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of Monthly Financial Information including Management Accounts.
  • Owning the bank reconciliations for group entities.Focusing on timely and accurate intercompany processing to ensure smooth month-end intercompany reconciliations.
  • Preparing and posting month-end journals
  • Supporting with P&L analyses and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Collaborating with internal departments to ensure efficient information flows so accounts are accurate.
  • Assist with preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
  • Preparation of VIES/VAT/CSO returns
  • Assisting Financial Controller and other team members with various exciting projects.
  • Assisting the credit control function – liaising with customers, client statement processing.
  • Contribute to maintaining the control environment and implementing company policies.
  • Annual audit process: Support the annual audit / external reporting process.
  • Preparation of monthly reports and analysis.

Attributes:

  • Part-qualified accountant – working towards a professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Knowledge and experience of accounting software packages – XERO, Sage 50, or similar
  • Good working knowledge MS Office & Excel (essential)
  • Well organised – good time management – ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Integrity and good ability to co-operate with a strong focus on solutions rather than problems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • An eye for detail, ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
