Role Description: 

As a Bid Writer at Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions, you will play a crucial role in the growth and development of our company. You will be responsible for creating compelling and competitive bids and proposals that showcase GDG’s expertise and capabilities to prospective clients. Your role will involve collaboration with various teams within the organization to gather information, strategize, and produce high-quality proposals that align with our business objectives. 

Key responsibilities will also include: 

  • Collaborate with technical teams to gather information and insights required for bid proposals. 
  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive proposals that address client needs and requirements. 
  • Ensure proposals are compliant with client instructions and guidelines. 
  • Incorporate technical content into proposals while maintaining readability for non-technical audiences. 
  • Conduct research to tailor proposals to specific client needs and preferences. 
  • Review and edit proposals for clarity, grammar, and coherence. 
  • Ensure that all proposal content aligns with GDG’s brand and messaging. 

Expertise required:  

  • Proven experience in bid writing and proposal development within the engineering or consulting industry. 
  • Exceptional writing, copy writing, editing, and proofreading skills. 
  • Renewable Energy experience.  
  • Detail orientated.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 

Education/ Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
